Manufacturing Capabilities
Zhengzhou Nissan’s Zhongmu plant, a state-of-the-art full vehicle production facility, was established and commissioned in 1990. It serves as a global manufacturing and export base for both Dongfeng and Nissan’s pickup trucks. In July 2019, the plant was named one of Henan Province’s first Intelligent Manufacturing Benchmark Enterprises, reflecting its commitment to advanced manufacturing practices. By fully adopting Nissan’s renowned manufacturing systems and standards, the facility has achieved an exemplary level of performance in Quality, Cost, and Time (QCT) among Nissan’s overseas KD facilities.
The factory can flexibly produce various vehicle types—pickups, SUVs, and passenger cars—on the same production line, covering the core processes of stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly. Its assembly workshop is unique in its ability to produce both body-on-frame and unibody chassis models simultaneously, making it the first mixed-production line of its kind in China.
Special-Purpose Vehicles & New Energy Business
Guided by its core philosophy of “Professional + Specialized,” Zhengzhou Nissan offers personalized and highly specialized solutions for special-purpose vehicles, constantly optimizing transportation solutions to meet the diverse needs of customers. Through years of extensive exploration, the company has developed multiple industry standards for special-purpose vehicles, secured more than 20 national patents, and designed over 100 custom vehicle models centered on pickup trucks. These vehicles are widely used across various sectors, including public security, utilities, and emergency response.
Zhengzhou Nissan was among the pioneering OEMs to obtain the National New Energy Vehicle Production Qualification. Since the launch of its new energy business in 2006, the company has accumulated over 17 years of extensive experience, establishing itself as an expert in the development and application of NEVs.
